This beautiful formal black Crown Imperial is a wonderful example of these elegant cars

There were only 894 of these beauties built and they rode on the New Yorker's 127.5-inch chassis, which was 18 inches shorter than any other Crown model made up to this point.  There were a few other noticeable difference about the Imperial.  It always wore the blanked rear quarters (over the wheel well), later known as fender skirts.  Also, the back door was front-hinged, not the traditional suicide doors of the other Chrysler models.  Also notice the fancy rose cloisonné wheel covers which were an exclusive option for the Crown series.  For the complete option's list for the Imperial, please see our specifications page.
