THE IMPERIAL TRADITION OF QUALITY
Thirty-two quality control stations, and nearly 100 quality control personnel.
That's the quality picture outlined for the new Imperial plant and represents the greatest quality control program in Imperial history.
Determined to maintain its tradition of high quality workmanship and performance of product Imperial has instituted in its new assembly operation and intensive program of quality control checks and balances.
Briefly, here's how the new quality control system works:
The system is based on four points:
1. Fact gatherers on the production line continuously gather information pertaining to quality of product.
2. These facts are fed to a control group of analytical engineers, who analyze and chart over-all quality trends.
3. The analytical engineers interpret quality trend figures and "feed back" corrective-action recommendations to pin-pointed production or pre-production areas.
4. 100 per cent station inspection-----this is the detection and immediate correction of quality defects as they occur on the assembly line.
