IMPERIAL PLANT MANUFACTURING STAFF
The ten Imperial plant executives responsible for various aspects of production have an average of 20 years of experience in the automobile industry. Brief biographies of this team follow:
George Thomas Poirier, Plant Manager, has been with Chrysler Corporation for 18 years. After graduating from the University of Detroit, he attended Chrysler Institute of Engineering, Between 1940 and his recent appointment as Imperial Plant Manager, Poirier was in the Chrysler and Imperial Division in various capacities, including research engineer, manager of production research, on the staff of the Division president, and executive assistant to the Division vice president in charge of manufacturing.
Alexander P. Podges, Production Manager, joined the Chrysler Corporation in 1957 as a member of the staff of F. M. Glassford, Corporation group executive of car and truck assembly. Prior to that he had been with Ford Motor Co. for 23 years in various manufacturing and staff positions. Podges is a graduate of Wayne State University and holds a degree in industrial management.
