For Sale is a 1968 Imperial. It was a low mile car that I used for a parts car for a restoration. It is a 4-door. It is mostly stripped. The motor needs a rebuild I'm sure but has low miles and is 100% complete down to the Holly carb. The car itself is pretty clean with good floors, but the subframe is really rough. I'm asking 1200 obo for the car and 500 obo for the motor. If interested email cheverge@yahoo.com. Please serious inquiries only. Thanks for Looking.

White exterior, light green leather interior. Car is not running - engine needs to be rebuilt (but still has the original engine). Missing hood ornament and 2 letters on gas tank cover. Rest of the car is complete including original hubcaps. There are some areas leather on seats is cracked from wear. Roof liner is in good shape. Includes really cool push button transmission, bullet style tail lights, working electronic windows and doors, and original owners manual. This is a classic 2 ton boat. My husband bought it as a toy to fix up, but he never really got to it. We did drive it for some time, and it was a really nice ride and got lots of compliments. We will also throw in custom plates from year of release. View photos at http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/ii178/a2steiner/Chrysler%20Imperial/?albumview=slideshow . 1951 Chrysler Imperial 2 door hardtop with 331 Hemi engine and fluid torque drive tranny. Just out of long time storage. We poured some fresh gas in it and a new battery and it started and runs with 45 lbs. oil pressure at idle. Must have been raced at some point in it's past but they didn't hurt it much. Not rusty. I don't have a title for it but can get one. If you just want an old race car and buy it as is the price is $1,500. If you want extra parts and glass to fix it up and want me to get you a title then the price is $2,000. Either way it is a bargain for a hemi powered car. Call for more info at 785-452-8491. I have a 68 Imperial Crown Coupe for sale, it is one of the nicest original Imperials I have ever seen. It has 35,977 original miles, and has every option except the auto headlight dimmer, and is a very pretty turquoise green with a black vinyl top and turquoise interior. The paint is excellent original with a few rock chips on the front, and the interior is mint. Car runs and drives, and you could fly in and drive it home. Original jack, spare tire, and tire cover. All of the exterior and interior diecast is nearly flawless, including the grilles and taillight bezels. I have about 70 photos in a Kodak Easyshare album I could send you if needed. Asking $13,750.

This is an excellent running daily driver. It has the 354 Hemi V8 engine with a Powerflite transmission. Car was originally from Southern California and then was in Washington state for twelve years until I bought it five years ago and shipped it to San Francisco where it has been since. It is all original. The body is mostly very good with only surface rust, no rust through and no dents. It needs paint. The chrome is fair and should be redone but passable for a driver. The interior is also decent for a driver but the front seat is worn. The door panels are also in fair condition. The driver's side window is cracked. All gauges work as do headlights and brake lights. . The car idles very smoothly and also drives very well. The transmission shifts as it should cold or hot. The generator and voltage regulator have been replaced recently. The tires are in very good condition. Title is in my name and registered until September 2009. $8500

One of 577 built! Runs great! Acquired from the 86 year old ORIGINAL OWNER who was is an actor and had small speaking parts in Magnum Force, Tucker, More American Graffiti, The Streets of San Francisco, The Right Stuff, etc. 30k miles on 440 engine and transmission, original rebuilt AFB carb. Brand new quiet dual exhaust. Everything works except AC which just needs recharging, original black top with no holes, Interior is good, NO rust, body and bumpers has minor dings and needs paint but original still shines great, tires are fair to good, rear end was rebuilt 8 months ago but whines,(I now have a used good replacement ring and pinion). New front pads AND calipers. I have every receipt all the way back to 1967 including the original sticker and hand written notes on on preordering with wanted options. This Imperial originally sold for $7500! AM-FM with foot or hand search option and rear speaker reverberator. I have an original service manual and a magazine with an article on this car too. I also have a good parts source in Santa Rosa. This car is a driver but needs some TLC. ASK FOR MORE INFO AND PICTURES. Car is worth 11k in it's condition. Look on Kelly blue book or N.A.D.A. for value. I HAVE PICTURES, plz ask. You can look at any of the above movies and see the original owner!

BIG BLOCK MOPAR: 1976 Chrysler New Yorker 2-Door Coupe If you have been looking for a very nice vintage Mopar big block two door vehicle, one which you can actually afford, then this is just the automobile for you. It is a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker coupe powered by a modified 440 V8 with a Torqueflite 727 transmission and a 9 ¼ rear end. It is loaded with options including power steering, power front disc brakes, air conditioning, cruise control, power antenna, full instrumentation, power seats, power windows, an AM/FM /CD sound system, remote control mirrors, leather interior, tilt wheel, and other features. It is a very reliable, powerful road car which makes all the right sounds and turns heads wherever it goes. Over the past couple of years, this Mopar has had a lot of work done to it, while being garaged and cared for. It has new paint and chrome pieces, and the Chrysler 440 V8 under the hood has been updated with a free flowing aluminized dual exhaust system with headers and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. The engine also has a chrome package and the transmission has a cooler for those hot Texas summers. There is far too much other work to list here, but it has also had recent brake, suspension and interior work done. This is all documented in writing along with when the work was done. It also has brand new Firestone Indy 500 tires all the way around with chromed Cragar S/S rims. Extra gauges are mounted inside, including a tachometer, voltmeter, vacuum gauge, oil pressure gauge, and a 40 channel CB radio. A lot of spare parts are included with this Chrysler, including bumpers, trunk lid, hood and numerous smaller parts and trim. More detailed photographs are available upon request, and we can be reached at (325) 392-3878 or 4paladin@gte.net. We are located in Ozona, Texas. The price is $4500 firm, or interesting trade offers involving other vehicles or firearms will be considered.

I am assisting with an estate sale of several cars. This is a very hard to find 1956 Imperial and is loaded with options including the original Hemi motor of course. This was the first year of push button transmission and it has the very seldom seen factory air. Solid Colorado barn-find car that was originally a beautiful emerald green (Crown Green Poly?) now gray. It has not been driven for a while but presumably would not take much to get it back on the road. I would be glad to send photos and please let me know if I can answer any questions. Real nice, clean survivor, just under 80,000 miles originally from South Dakota. 354 Hemi completely rebuilt in 2005 (I have the paper work) and new dual exhaust at that time as well. All work totaling about $4,000. New tires this year 1,500 miles ago. Just drove it 450 miles round trip weekend of September 12th to the 14th, got 18.5 mpg at 70 mph. Recently flushed brake fluid and filled with DOT 5, changed rear diff oil, new headlights and headlight gaskets, replaced rivets in headlight buckets. New trunk weather stripping. Car runs, rides, and drives great. Everything works great except for the heat (all blowers work, just no heat) and radio. Leaks power steering fluid between generator and pump, trunk lid springs need to be adjusted to hold trunk open. Front passenger brake drum sticks a little after sitting a few days, but loosens easily in reverse and drives fine. Rusted through sheetmetal behind rear wheel wells underneath trim panels. I would rate the condition, based on the Imperial Club rating, somewhere between a 4 and a 3, probably a 3.25. $8,000 Or Best Offer, email Jon at jboymechanic@yahoo.com with questions. Pictures available by request.

This 1950 Chrysler Imperial Limousine was owned by movie mogul Louie B Mayor and is an incredible piece of movie history. This is the car that picked him up after being fired by MGM studios in the early 50's. After several visits to William Hearst's "Hearst Castle" he decided that the car needed more power. He sent it back to the dealer and had a larger motor installed, the early Hemi. Subsequently the brakes had to be replaced as the old drums just would not stop this "lead sled" so disc brales were installed. I have contacted Mr. Mayer's grandson, Daniel Selznick, whom shares his wonderful stories of riding to the Hollywood Bowl in this car with his late grandfather. Car will include a letter of authenticatin from Mr. Selznick and service department folder from the dealer bearing Mr. Mayer's name. We are currently working with Hollywood archivists to secure more information to include with the car. My name is Donn Dabney. I can be reached at 707-332-8331.

This vehicle is a former museum piece (purchased at museum auction, 3 years ago). I purchased the car with 65,000 actual miles, and have enjoyed its classic elegance on road trips, totaling another 4,000 miles (all highway).

The entire vehicle is in phenomenal ORIGINAL condition, runs flawlessly, and gets stares and "thumbs up!" everywhere we've taken it. BURGANDY/BURGANDY leather combo. Carpet looks like it is still on showroom. Leather is excellent (slight wear... NO tears, rips or gouges... PERIOD). Dash has 1 small crack. Headliner... FLAWLESS. ALL LIGHTS WORK (interior and exterior). Cruise works... radio works flawlessly.

Exterior waxes up to a beautiful, reflective glow... original finish, as best I can tell... BEAUTIFUL. ALL CRYSTAL IS SUPERB.

This automobile is an original, show winner/collection piece.

$3700.00

Vehicle ID number C5719288. Located in Houston, Texas. I will begin parting this car out if there is no interest by 9/26/08. No Engine or transmission. Texas car- very minor rust issues. Only rust through is located in trunk floor (small) and some slight rust through in rockers. Optional faux spare trunklid. Missing driver's window for quite a few years- interior is trashed. Power seat car with manual windows. Exterior paint (turquiose green?) appears to be original & is tired. Someone attempted to DA sand parts of the body. All exterior trim is present, rather straight, and definetely restorable with exeption of Passenger front upper fender trim (broken) and 2 missing hubcaps. I would really like to sell this car as a whole and not have to part it out. Tires hold air and car rolls and steers for transport. Photos can be made available upon request. Questions are welcomed and encouraged. Make me an offer. Mike 281-217-2708

Recent repaint (NOT by me) over questionable bodywork. Light blue over white leather. Pics available. The top frame is broken, but replacement parts are included. $2500.00 in recent receipts. Odometer reads 44xxx, but true miles are unknown. Clean title. Car is located in Louisville, KY., and I am located in Portland, OR. Motivated seller. $6900.00 asking. 1960 Imperial Crown SH - 4 door hardtop - Alaska white - with the flitesweep decklid - all original in good running condition. I have owned this car for four years and now must sell due to other circumstances in my life. The car was orginally owned by a Chicago area Chrysler dealer and his family for twelve years. I am the fourth owner. The following is new or recent: rebuilt front end; brake work; rebuilt transmission; recored radiator; rebuilt power steering pump; rebuilt heater control valve; new drive line; tune up; all new belts and hoses; tires are like new - approx. 5 years old. Interior is original brown lather with cloth panel inserts. Upholstery is in good condition but driver's seat is worn. I consider this car to be daily driver but it has the potential to become a show car.Price is $10,750 or BRO. Tel.(508) 207-8217

I recently purchased a 1963 4-door that is in good shape. It is for sale for $4563.00 Car can take one of two paths: 1. Drive the car as-is with some mechanical work to make it useful. 2. Restore the car. The car has issues, but nothing that can't be fixed. For 1963, the heartbreaker items are all present and in good shape - the hood ornament, glass (especially the front glass), dashboard, seats, headliner, chrome, door panels, carpet, and body are all in wonderful shape, with the exception of a serious dent in the DS front fender that has been hammered out but requires minor attention and paint to be right. The brakes did not work and the entire brake system was RESTORED, not just rebuilt - the drums were blasted clean and new everything was installed on the front wheels, new cylinders on the rear, as well as soft lines and MC. Car is cream with a dark chocolate interior. Known problems: front side windows do not work, rears do work. Gas, Temp, Oil gauges inoperative. Electroluminescent dash does not light up. Engine runs nicely but is in desperate need of a tune-up. Transmission does not work properly. I have access to a used transmission from a running car that I will get and install before the car goes to ebay if I can't get this one to shift into reverse and operate properly. One tail light running light out - likely a bulb. Power steering pump leaks - replacement will be required. This car is rough around the edges. If you live overseas, this would be a fantastic value, since most of the issues are mechanical and therefore can be rebuilt using available parts. The trim is all there and the paint is rough but passable if you don't need perfection. I am tempted to keep the car and use it as my daily driver, but I have too many already. Car will go on ebay in a week or however long it takes me to fiddle around with the transmission, so I'm posting it here in case someone wants to avoid the bidding process. When I drove the car, the suspension was INCREDIBLE and tight and silent. The car feels very young and firm, so will be a delight to drive. Previous owner explained that his parents bought it new and they drove it until 1980, at which point it went into their garage. It supposedly just came out last year - there are leaves and things in the engine compartment from being outside for a time. Needs tires to drive on, but has 1975 tires on it now that roll around. They are too old to drive fast on safely, but they are vintage! Odo says 000003 miles, so I do not know if the claim that the car has 50,000 miles is true, but the steering box is very frim and tight, so is the suspension, so I tend to agree that this is a low mile car. NO rust or cancer in the body anywhere, and it's doors open and close nicely. If you want a 1963 and fancy doing mechanical work yourself, this car has many desireable things going for it. - Kenyon 415-699-8760 Please call in the evening, 5pm-9pm Near San Francisco

Every part of this 1962 Imperial Custom 4 door was taken apart, repainted or replaced. The engine was rebuilt and has zero miles. The seats are reupholstered with the silver pleather from a roll of NOS material from 1961! Engine compartment was completely removed. Inside of front fenders and wheel wells were painted. The chrome is perfect. Body has been stripped and painted in original Embassy Red. New stainless exhaust. Gorgeous car! Even the bottom is painted. Quite the story behind this restoration. Photos will be available. Disassembled parts car goes with it, along with spare rear windshield and much more. Brand new correct tires. Car is on blocks to not weaken brand new leaf springs or shocks. Tail lights and chrome mounted on top of fins are excellent; not one pit. You wont find many like this! Respond for more info please. Thanks, Brian

Hi everyone. Well, the time has come, the beloved '60 is on the block -- thought I'd post here first to see that it goes to someone who'll give her the home she deserves. Everything under the skin has been seen to -- from the engine and transmission, to the rear leaf springs, to the exhaust, to the brakes and power steering, to the frame. Everything.

She's a Dusk Mauve Metallic, with Grey Wool Broadcloth interior (with original SMS cloth). She's been sitting, unused for months, and no one can have that. She needs a new paint job, the rubber (which I've got) installed post-paint and the driver side window motor repaired, and then a good interior shampoo. And that's really it (aside from small things -- the usual stuff we all know about and deal with).

I've absolutely LOVED this car, but, not being driven, it's a shame. I've put about $15,000 into it over the nine years I've had it, and I'll let it go for $5000, knowing that the value has actually risen in the last two years (can you believe it??).

There is a lot of former posts of mine on this site, and I was very active in the club for my first years of owning, so you can actually follow the progress of the car there, should you be so inclined.

Made a lot of binary friends here, particularly the incredible Dick Benjamin, Murray Park, and Bob Schmidt (to name but a scant few). I hope you are all well and happy, and I doff my cap (OK, were I wearing a cap I'd doff it) to you in gratitude.

If you have been looking for a very nice vintage Mopar big block two door vehicle, one which will not cost you a home mortgage to own, then this is just the automobile for you. It is a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker coupe powered by a modified 440 V8, backed by a Torqueflite 727 transmission and a 9 ¼ rear end. Over the past couple of years, this Mopar has had a lot of work done to it, while being garaged and cared for with the attention it deserves. It has new paint and chrome pieces, and the Chrysler 440 V8 under the hood has been updated with a free flowing aluminized dual exhaust system with headers and Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers. The carburetor is a remanufactured Rochester Quadrajet four barrel made for Mopar applications, specially calibrated for the big block V8 it is feeding. A substantial amount of spare parts are also included with this Chrysler, including bumpers, trunk lid, hood and numerous smaller parts and trim. More detailed photographs are available upon request, and we can be reached at (325) 392-3878 or 4paladin@gte.net. We are located in Ozona, Texas. The price is $4500 firm, or interesting trade offers involving other vehicles or firearms will be considered. Take a moment to consider this Chrysler coupe, and the work that has been done to it, and you will find that price to be more than fair.

Located in Missouri, this is a great classic. I've owned it since 1990. Pearl white outside paint, with red dash, steering wheel and plaid red and green cloth seats with red leather. The inside is in awsome original condition. It has 100,886 miles. The car runs like new. Has good Good Year tires with original wheels. Original carburator. New gas tank. The car has been running on 100% synthetic motor oil, transmission and differential fluids. It gets 22 to 23 MPG. It has the original sound system with powerfull sound quality. The cassette tape player does not work. The A/C needs repairs. The moon roof has been temporarilly sealed with to prevent leacking. It needs a new gasket. The body has 3 rust spots temporarilly patched around the fenders. There are a few minor scratches but there are no dents. The car comes with the original owner's manual and a lot of litterature on the car's history. Ther are complete mechanical and maintenance records from 1990 as well as the original 1983 window sticker! In conclusion a very good running condition Imperial with some body help needed. Price $3000 United States Dollars.

This is a antique white with red interior Chrysler Crown Imperial hardtop with the 413/460 engine, famous pushbutton automatic transmission, oval steering wheel and external headlights, along with power everything and AC. The body and chrome are in very good condition along with the dashboard and headliner. The car has never been in an accident nor is there rust damage (stored indoors). The original paint is faded in some areas and I may repaint it before selling, perhaps another color. The seat upholstery is aftermarket and worn but not pitiful. The car does not smoke or burn oil. I have all insignia and hubcaps. About 100,000 miles. In Seattle, Washington.

$4500 or offer. The nada.com price on this car, as you know is much higher. Sorry, but the pictures are dark as it was photographed in an underground parking garage. Search Seattle craigslist.org for Imperial for photos.

1983 Imperial, true miles unknown, but I believe it to be around 140K. Fresh 318 2bbl, factory converted Lean Burn replaced with standard Mopar orange box electronic ignition, newer gas tank and brakes (front and rear). The 18” wheels are from a newer 300C wrapped in brand new Kuhmo tires but I’ll also include factory wire wheel covers and another set of Imperial-looking wheel covers. This is not a show car but a great driver and could be a show stopper with a little more work. Just got back from 2008 Power Tour covering over 3,500 miles averaging over 17 MPG - runs VERY well. Beige Crystal with beautiful leather interior. Could use paint and some rust repair but very nice driver. AC blows cold, cruise and all other options work except driver’s window (motor works – maybe off track?) and Fuel Range/MPG Rate due to bad sensor. This is a very nice car that previous owner did a lot of cosmetic refreshing including new wheel lip & rocker moldings, headliner, NOS grille, and bumper. The car needs a tailpipe and one rear sway bar mount fixed or replaced. The driver’s window needs fixed as well as the aforementioned rust and paint work. I got it with a blown 318 (original as far as I can tell) and replaced with ‘rebuilt’ 1976 318 out of a Dodge R/T. I don’t know any specs about the cam, heads, or block other than it was supposedly bored out. The purpose was to drive the Power Tour – we did and had an absolute blast with it. For a 25 year-old, mostly stock car, it performed wonderfully well over the 3,500 round trip. I’ve had my fun and now like to sell it and get a convertible for my long-suffering family. My asking price is $1800 but I’d be interested in trading for a nice (1990’s) Lebaron drop-top of similar value. Call Adam at 814-460-2234 or email qman@velocity.net for more info and/or pictures.
